Why NOW--Why TODAY!!!!
Today is the first day of school in the beautiful dwelling of Farmington and guess what???
They started road construction on 3 major streets!!!!! They had all summer to do this and they did nothing. They saved it all for August 22nd.
The planner probably said.."Let's have some fun, lets tear up the streets starting at 7:15 am so the hundreds of people trying to get their kids to the first day of school can have just a little more stress"
It was horrible, orange barrels and cones everywhere. Flaggers and then the school crossing guards all waving flags.

It's just like life to throw u-turns and orange cones in you way.
So, how did the first day go? Any traumas??
Surfed in Via Blogexplosion. sounds familiar. they always start streets late in the year here in NY when they had all summer to do it. Doesn't make much sense to me at all. ;)
up until 4th grade i loved the first day of school. then, i moved in the middle of 5th grade, started a new school with a bunch of morons, and that was a horrible traumatic experience. then 6th grade rolls around, and that was even worse because my entire 5th grade class was back with me. i mean, most of them. not all of them. but thats how i met my best friend, so i guess it wasnt all that bad. thank god my mother pulled me out after 6th grade and i've been homeschooled ever since! it's fun! but my parents have a lot of patinece and time and they like having us home better than at that school.
i hate orange cones too. we are getting the only major road in our little city torn all the hell. orange cones, barrels of orange, and dudes in orange vests. none goodlooking either. so it wasnt fun.
THANK YOU! peebugg, i am so happy that at least one person decided to agree with me on the whole Britney and Kevin thing. have you watched their show? it's called Britney and Kevin: Chaotic. trust me, it's anything but chaotic. repetitive yes, chaotic, no. if you ever have the time, watch it. i mean, you're whole opinion will really be changed. and yes, of course Britney dearest used sex to get rich. thats a known fact, she knows it works and goes with it.
